This Six & Twenty Five-Grain Bourbon Whiskey was a gift and a complete surprise. Apparently, it the first 5-Grain bourbon featuring a mash bill of Corn, Soft Red Winter Wheat, Barley, Black Seashore Rye, and Carolina Gold Rice. The spirit is then aged three years in new American Oak Barrels. It’s very complex with baking spices and tobacco up front and honeyed dried fruits, nuts, and more spices at the tail. No heat either. The Six & Twenty Distillery is located in Greenville, South Carolina.
